Guy Saunders

After 10 years at London Business School (LBS) and eight years at prestigious INSEAD, with its campuses in France, Singapore and the UAE, Mr Saunders chose Australia’s No. 1 Executive Education provider for his next career move because of its growing Asian presence and commitment to workplace impact.

“The whole question of effective learning, adapting to client needs and delivering workplace impact is critical for clients, and I think it’s what differentiates Melbourne Business School.

“If you look at INSEAD and London Business School and similar, well-known brands, they often can’t demonstrate the effectiveness and impact of their executive education because they don’t have to. They rely on their reputation. We don’t. We rely on our effectiveness.”

A committed educator, Mr Saunders was born and raised in South Africa, where he graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand to teach Economics and Accounting at secondary school. He later joined the Thusong Education Trust to help young, disadvantaged South Africans fulfil their potential.

In 1996, he headed to London for a short “sabbatical”, which blossomed into a 10-year stint at LBS after discovering his enthusiasm for executive education. From a temporary, one-year role, he progressed to Programme Manager, Programme Director, Director, Business Development and, eventually, Director of Open Enrolment Programmes.
